Controversial Environmental Report for Greenland Mining Project Approved

The contents of an environmental report regarding the planned mine development on Kvanefjeld mountain in Greenland has now been approved by the environmental regulations office, according to Sermitsiaq.

That has caused a surge in Greenland Minerals’ share price on the Australian stock exchange.

The Greenlandic Office of Raw Materials stresses that the report has not been finally approved by the self-rule authority Naalakkersuisut, but that the environmental office for raw materials has approved of its contents.

If Naalakkersuisut were to approve of the re port, the next step in the process would be a public hearing.
