American Aircraft Carried Out Reconnaissance Mission over the Barents Sea

Last week, an American intelligence aircraft carried out a reconnaissance mission over the Barents Sea, along the coast of Russia towards Finmark. This is reported by NRK.

The aircraft is of the type RC-135V/W Rivet Joint, and it operated from the military air station Mildenhall in Suffolk, England.

The aircraft first flew along the coast of the Kola Peninsula to the northeast of Vardø in Norway, before it turned and took the same route east again.

In April, iFinnmark reported that an American aircraft of the same type carried out a reconnaissance mission in the same area, also from the Mildenhall air station.
