According to Wideroe, the purchase of these Regional Jets will permit the company to further develop existing routes and broaden their enterprise to new areas. The aircrafts in questions have significantly lower carbon emissions and produce less noise than similar models.

Wideroe, which serves regional airports in Arctic Norway and the rest of the country, currently has a fleet consisting of smaller, propeller-driven aircrafts.
