Well-Attended Pride Festival

Around 100,000 people attended this year’s Pride Parade in Reykjavik.

Around 100,000 people, as estimated by the police—which equals 30 percent of the Icelandic nation—attended this year’s Pride Parade, the highlight of the Reykjavík Pride festivities in the capital Reykjavik, on Saturday, according to Iceland Review

The festival was held for the 16th time this year. The festival has grown from having only 1,500 people in attendance to being one of the most important festivals in Iceland, and not only for the LGBTQI community.
