- Ukrainian separatist leaders refuse to sign a ceasefire document presented at talks in Minsk on ending the fighting with government forces, the Tass news agency reports, according to the German news agency DPA.

The document, prepared after the meeting on the settlement in Ukraine, needs to be signed by representatives of the Contact Group and heads of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR).

The negotiations in the Normandy format between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko lasted for around 14 hours.
