Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende (Conservatives) will attend an Arctic conference in Arkhangelsk, Russia, in March.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende (Conservatives) will attend an Arctic conference in Arkhangelsk, Russia, in March.

That is the first minister level visit from Norway to Russia since 2014. The visit was announced following a meeting between Brende and his Russian colleague Sergej Lavrov in Germany before the weekend, according to NTB.

- Meetings on minister level are planned for the Economic Commission and the Environment Commission during the spring, Frode O. Andersen, Press Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states.
