This is reported by the Northern Fleet's press service, according to the Russian news site The Arctic.
The warships' homeport is in Severomorsk, and over 100 military attaches representing 65 countries from around the world met with Northern Fleet Commander Vice-Admiral Nikolai Yemenov on June 5th. The Vice-Admiral spoke about the contemporary fleet’s operation, and according to a statement on the Northern Fleet website the military attaches visited the nuclear-powered Kirov-class battlecruiser Pyotr Veliky and the Slava-class cruiser Marshal Ustinov.
The visitors were taken on a comprehensive tour around the cruisers and informed about their history and the main weapons they carry. Later in the day a wreath- and flower-laying ceremony was held on Muzhestva Square in Severomorsk at the monument to the Heroes of Severomorsk who defended the country's polar regions during the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War. The military attaches took part in the ceremony.
