Iceland’s Foreign Minister Visits UN University

Icelandic Minister for Foreign Affairs Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson visited the United Nations University (UNU) headquarters in Tokyo yesterday.

Icelandic Minister for Foreign Affairs Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson visited the United Nations University (UNU) headquarters in Tokyo yesterday.

He met with Rector of UNU David Malone and discussed the university’s operations, Iceland Review reports.

At the occasion, a new five-year agreement on the Geothermal Training Programme of the UNU, which is based in Iceland, was signed. Three other UNU training progras are based in Iceland: the Land Restoration Training Programme, the Fisheries Training Programme and the Gender Equality Studies and Training Programme.
